Job Summary

We’re seeking a dependable caregiver for a part-time shift from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Ottawa, Illinois. Applicants with Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) background is preferred with a compassionate, attentive approach to supporting an individual’s daily needs. This role includes personal care, meal preparation, light cleaning, and careful observation. The posting specifies a female caregiver; applicants should meet any applicable legal requirements for this position.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, safe transfers, and mobility; use a Hoyer lift when included in the care plan and within your training.
• Observe and report changes in condition; monitor vital signs and follow care plans and medication instructions within your authorized scope.
• Prepare meals, cook as needed, and complete light cleaning related to the client’s care.
• Communicate clearly with the client and care team while protecting privacy and honoring resident’s rights.
• Follow safe manual-handling practices and applicable Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy requirements.

Requirements

• CNA background and caregiving experience; home care, home and community care, group home, assisted living, nursing home, long-term care, or hospice experience is relevant.
• Patient care, patient observation and monitoring, nursing, senior care, geriatrics, Alzheimer’s, dementia, or memory care experience are valued.
• Experience supporting people with autism, developmental, intellectual, neurodevelopmental, or other disabilities is welcome, including direct support.
• Familiarity with medication administration, first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is preferred; follow applicable training and authorization.
• Able to assist with ADLs, patient transfers, meal preparation, and personal transportation assistance as needed; heavy lifting may be required.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 20.0 per week
