Caregiver / Certified Medication Technician (CMT) - PAID TRAINING

Pay

$20.00 per hour Schedule: Full-Time | 12-hour Day Shift (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)

Alongside Assisted Living is a luxury 8-bed assisted living home in Ellicott City dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care in a family-like environment. We are looking for caring, dependable team members who are passionate about improving the lives of older adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility, and meals)
• Administer medications according to physician orders and Maryland regulations (CMTs)
• Observe and report changes in resident condition
• Document resident care and medication administration
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry
• Provide companionship and engage residents in daily activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment

Qualifications

• Compassionate, dependable, and professional
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Reliable transportation and attendance
• Able to safely assist residents with transfers and other physical caregiving tasks
• Pass required Maryland background checks, health screening, and TB screening
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

Current Maryland CMT certification is preferred but not required.

Training & Pay

Current Maryland CMTs

• $19.00/hour during a one-month training period
• $20.00/hour after successful completion of training

Caregivers without CMT certification

• $18.00/hour during training
• Alongside Assisted Living will pay for your Maryland CMT certification course
• Certification must be completed within two months of hire
• $20.00/hour after successful completion of training and CMT certification
