Get Paid to Care for a Senior in Your Family - or Someone You Know

Do you know a senior who needs help at home? Whether it's a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, neighbor or friend, you may be able to become their paid caregiver through Michigan's Home Help program.

Eligible seniors with Medicaid who need hands-on help with daily activities, such as bathing or dressing, can choose someone they know and trust to provide their care. Caregivers must be at least 18, pass a background check and cannot be the senior's spouse. Eligibility and paid hours depend on state approval.

You'll be hired and paid directly by Great Lakes Home Care. Pay is $17-$19 an hour, with hours based on each senior's approved care hours. Great Lakes Home Care helps eligible seniors and their caregivers get started. Serving Lansing and Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties.
