Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, including those with disabilities and dementia. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and attention.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene.
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, particularly for those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
• Assist with patient monitoring, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
• Perform heavy lifting as necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all interactions.
• Work collaboratively with other caregivers and healthcare staff in group home settings.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with dementia care techniques is a plus.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
• A compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others are critical for success in this role.
