Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure health stability
• Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and documentation procedures
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques
• Operate manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics
• Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and assist residents during meal times to promote proper nutrition
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met

Requirements

• Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of assisted living practices, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, geriatrics, and long-term care procedures
• Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or other special needs while demonstrating patience and empathy
