Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant in the Augusta, Ga area to provide essential support to an individual with Total Care needs, in a home care environment. Our member will need assistance with changing adult briefs, transfers, preparing meals and other household duties. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and the ability to handle physical tasks, including heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff and/or family members.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safe movement within the home or community.
• Support members in engaging in community activities to promote social interaction
• Follow all safety protocols, including CPR/first aid procedures when required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Home Care or personal support roles is required.
• Certification of CPR/first aid procedures is required.
• Knowledge of HIPPA regulations.
• Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to assist with ADL's, IADL's and provide patient monitoring.
• Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is preferred
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely when required.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
