Job Summary

Join our small, caring team at Sunset Retreats Senior Living, a 6-resident home where you'll give personal, unhurried care in a warm, home-like setting. With no more than six residents, you'll have the time to really know each person and help them live safely and with dignity.

Schedule & Pay

Starting schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00am–7:30pm. Base pay is $17.50/hour.
Coming soon: 12-hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm, alternating 3-day and 4-day work weeks. Shift A works Sunday–Wednesday one week and Sunday–Tuesday the next. Shift B works Wednesday–Saturday one week and Thursday–Saturday the next. That means every other week you get 4 days off in a row.
Overtime: California daily overtime (time-and-a-half after 8 hours) brings 12-hour shifts to about $20.40/hour on average.

Responsibilities

Help residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals and eating
Assist with walking and transfers using safe lifting techniques
Accompany residents to meals, appointments and activities
Do routine wellness checks and watch for changes
Assist with medications as your training and state rules allow, and give first aid when needed
Keep the home clean and safe, including laundry and tidying rooms
Document care, observations and incidents accurately, and report concerns to the Administrator right away
