Personal Care Aide (PCA) – Part-Time

Colonial Quality Home Care, Inc. Location: Glen Allen, VA Schedule: 30 hours per week Shifts: Mornings, afternoons, or evenings based on client needs

Colonial Quality Home Care, Inc. is seeking a dependable, compassionate Personal Care Aide to provide non-medical assistance with activities of daily living in clients’ homes. Applicants must have flexible availability and be comfortable working with multiple clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care needs.
• Support safe mobility and transfers according to each client’s care plan.
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship.
• Provide medication reminders as directed in the care plan.
• Complete accurate care notes and time entries.
• Promptly report changes in clients’ conditions, safety concerns, or incidents.
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, and agency staff.
• Arrive on time and follow agency scheduling and attendance procedures.

Qualifications

• PCA certificate required.
• Availability to work 30 hours per week, with flexibility to work morning, afternoon, or evening shifts.
• Comfortable providing care to multiple clients.
• Current TB screening or test documentation meeting agency requirements.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned clients’ homes.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow care plans, maintain confidentiality, and work independently.
• Smartphone access for scheduling, electronic visit verification, and documentation.
• Successful completion of required background checks and pre-employment requirements.
• Previous home care experience preferred.
