Certified Nursing Assistant/Bath & Shower Aide

Job Overview

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Bath & Shower Aide, you’ll help residents feel comfortable, respected, and supported through personal care and daily routines. You’ll assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, and other care needs while following each resident’s care plan and safety practices. Your impact: By providing attentive personal care and sharing observations with the care team, you help residents maintain dignity and support timely, coordinated care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, showering, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other activities of daily living.
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using approved patient transfer methods and equipment such as a Hoyer lift when appropriate.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition; measure and record vital signs as assigned.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and care team members, including when supporting people with dementia or developmental disabilities.
• Complete accurate medical documentation while protecting patient confidentiality and following infection prevention practices.

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant credential as required for the role and applicable regulations.
• Experience in senior care, geriatrics, nursing homes, long-term care, assisted living, memory care, hospice, home care, or post-acute care is valuable; caregiving experience is also relevant.
• Knowledge of safe lifting practices, manual handling, basic anatomy and physiology, and patient care principles.
• Clear communication, dependable teamwork, and a respectful approach to residents’ privacy and individual needs.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR), medical terminology, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) or basic life support (BLS) is helpful.

Pay: $25.96 - $31.27 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
