Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and nurses with ambulation
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive medical documentation
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery
• Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in various clinical settings
• Assist OR staff in cleaning rooms and changing out equipment between procedures.

Skills

• Proven experience working with patients in various settings, previous Pre-Op/Post-Op experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and records management
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and basic life support (CPR) to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting or repositioning patients using appropriate transfer methods
• Strong communication skills to provide compassionate support to patients and their families
• Ability to work in fast-paced settings
