Description

The Physical Therapist Technician/CNA and Activities Coordinator will play a crucial role in assisting physical therapists in providing high-quality rehabilitative services to residents, with a focus on restoring mobility, improving strength and function, and enhancing overall quality of life. As an Activities Coordinator you will be assisting with the planning, implementation, and coordination of recreational and therapeutic activities that enhance residents’ quality of life and promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being.

Schedule

Full-Time, Weekdays, 8:00am - 4:30pm, 8 Hour Shifts

*Primary Responsibilities and Duties:*

• Assist physical therapists in conducting assessments to evaluate residents’ physical abilities, functional status, and rehabilitation needs through comprehensive assessments.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to residents during therapy sessions, ensuring safety, proper technique, and optimal outcomes.
• Utilize adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and environment modifications to facilitate residents’ participation in therapy activities and enhance their independence in daily tasks.
• Document resident progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with residents and their families to establish realistic goals, educate them on therapeutic techniques and strategies, and provide support and encouragement throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Engage residents in activities and provide hands-on assistance and support as needed to promote participation and enjoyment.
• Set up and clean up activity spaces, including arranging furniture, preparing materials, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
