Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team at Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington WA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, teaching hospitals, and critical care environments. As a Nursing Assistant, you will assist patients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to the highest standards of care.

Duties

• Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following aseptic techniques.
• Support patients with dementia care and those with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met compassionately.
• Assist in the management of durable medical equipment (DME) as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement patient care plans effectively.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care procedures.
• Participate in infection control measures, particularly in cases involving infectious disease care.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

A minimum of Two years of work experience in a hospital setting

. (Has to be within the last 5 years)

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
• Experience working in hospital settings, particularly in medical and surgical CCU units.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
• Previous experience in dementia care or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
