Certified Nursing Assistant CNA

Salem Care Center is looking for CNA's to join our team for day and night shift.

• Starting pay is $18 and based on experience.
• Must have a current active CNA license in Missouri and CPR certification.
• Shifts are 12 hours, must be willing to work some weekends and holidays.

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a skilled nursing facility provides direct, daily care and clinical support to residents under the supervision of licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and registered nurses (RNs).

• Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for long shifts while using proper assistive equipment like mechanical lifts.
• Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and eating.
• Mobility and Positioning: Safely transfer residents between beds and wheelchairs, and turn bed-bound individuals every two hours to prevent pressure injuries. [1, 2]
• Vital Signs and Monitoring: Measure and record temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and blood pressure, reporting any sudden health changes to the nursing staff. [1, 2]
• Nutrition and Intake Tracking: Serve meal trays, assist with feeding, and document food and liquid consumption.
• Environment and Safety: Respond promptly to call lights, tidy resident rooms, change bed linens, and maintain a safe, clean living space.
