Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and proper positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Take, record, and report vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or behavioral condition to licensed nursing staff
• Provide basic nursing care under the direction of licensed nurses
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment
• Document care provided in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Follow infection control and safety protocols consistently
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
• Assist with meal service and ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration
• Communicate effectively with nurses and the care team to support coordinated resident care
