The primary purpose of this job is to provide person centered direct care that addresses the dignity and individual preferences of each person; providing optimum physical comfort, hygiene, mobility and general well-being for each resident as directed by the individualized care plan. The CNA works under the instruction and observation of a licensed nurse. In many ways, Certified Nurse Assistants are the front line hands and eyes of any health care team. They observe resident's physical, mental and emotional conditions and report any changes to the charge nurse.

Job Description

Recognize and respond to the needs of residents. Assist the resident with “activities of daily living”, including bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of bed, using chairs, bath, lifts or other assistive devices and appliances per the care plan. Other duties are assigned by supervisor. CNAs are subject to be called back in emergency situations or disasters such evacuations related to tornados.
