Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Part-Time Home Care

About the Position

Luna Home Care, LLC is seeking a dependable, compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personalized care to clients in their homes. We are looking for someone who treats clients with dignity, communicates clearly, and takes pride in helping others maintain their comfort and independence.

Schedule

Part-time hours with flexibility based on your availability and client needs. Most hours will be assigned client shifts scheduled in advance. Employees must be reliable and able to consistently work their agreed-upon assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care needs.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and daily activities according to the client’s care plan.
• Provide companionship and respectful, supportive care.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping related to client care.
• Observe and promptly report changes in a client’s condition to the supervising nurse.
• Accurately document care provided.
• Follow infection control practices, safety procedures, and agency policies.
• Protect client privacy and maintain professional boundaries.

Required Qualifications

• Current, active Rhode Island CNA license/certification.
• Ability to speak and understand English and communicate effectively with clients, families, and the supervising nurse.
• Ability to read care instructions and complete documentation in English.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a caring, professional attitude.
• Reliable transportation to assigned client homes.
• Ability to safely perform the duties of the position, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Previous home care experience.
• Experience working with older adults or individuals living with dementia.
