*Pay starts at $21 and goes up based on experience. There is also a $2 shift differential for night shift employees!*

*1st shift hours; 6 am - 2 pm.*

*3rd shift hours; 10 pm - 6 am.*

Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our dedicated caregiving team. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with experience in various healthcare settings. As a CNA, you will provide essential support to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being while adhering to all safety and health protocols.

Duties

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate techniques like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor residents’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status during overnight hours.
• Document patient care activities accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a comforting environment during the night shift.
• Follow infection control procedures and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
• Report any significant changes or concerns regarding residents’ health promptly to nursing staff or supervisors.
• Assist with medication administration as authorized and trained, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to medical protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state of employment.
• Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, hospital (including ICU or trauma centers), or skilled nursing facilities is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, catheter care, and basic life support (BLS).
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), or behavioral health needs is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Epic is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining high standards of patient care.
