Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Nursing Assistant will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist patients with daily living activities. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients in various settings, including long-term care facilities, inpatient units, and behavioral health environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and the specific needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating, toileting.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Help patients with mobility and physical exercises as directed by nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and progress.
• Cleaning and assisting with residents laundry
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities by providing personalized care tailored to their unique needs.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in long-term care practices, and behavioral health support.
• Serves and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
• Responsible for initiating and participating in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar.
• Knows, understands, and complies with HIPAA regulations.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
