CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (7p-7a)

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team.

Provides direct patient care to all patients for ages that include infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of the licensed nursing staff.

Job Duties

• *Performs or assists patients with activities of daily living-bathing, dressing, mouth care, hair care, shaving.*
• *Serves and collects food trays and assists/feeds patients as needed.*
• *Transports/transfers patients using appropriate equipment adhering to proper body mechanics.*
• *Changes bed linen; disposes of soiled linen appropriately.*
• *Collects specimens; label correctly; transports in biohazard bag; completes log entries on the unit and in the lab.*
• *Turns patients supporting limbs as required.*
• *Weighs patients using appropriate scales and records accurately.*
• *Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rates for patients of all ages. Reports vital*
• *signs outside of established parameters to the licensed staff.*
• *Measures and records intake and output.*
• *Reports any issues/concerns expressed by the patient/family to the primary nurse or House Supervisor.*
• *Provides adequate notice to House Supervisor prior to absence or tardiness according to hospital policy.*
• *Attends mandatory training, staff meeting. Keeps required certifications current.*

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• *Previous hospital experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred*
• *High school graduate or equivalent preferred*
• *Current Certified Nursing Assistant licensure*
• *Current BLS certification*
• *Ability to communicate effectively in writing, oral and electronic format.*
• *Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills*
