CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have own transportation
• Must have a certificate of completion as a Certified Nursing Assistant approved by a State certified program.
• Must have completed 75 hours of training. 16 hours must be classroom and at least 16 hours of supervised training
• Must pass a background check (Health care worker registry)
• Must complete a competency evaluation (prior to seeing patients)
• Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity including heavy lifting, moving and positioning patients as well as extensive and repetitive bending and standing.
• Capable of comprehending all written and verbal communication.
• Provide patient care as indicated on the patient’s plan of care.
• Assist in all Activities of Daily living as specified on care plan
• Report changes in patients condition to RN
• Complete required annual training
• Make an occupied bed
• Assist with personal hygiene
• Basic infection control procedures
• Maintain a clean , safe, healthy environment
• Recognize emergencies and the knowledge of emergency procedures and their application
• Assist with ambulation and exercise as applicable
• Provide nutritional support
• Supervise a patients self- administration of medication by reminding the patient it is time to take medications, opening the bottle cap, reading the medication label to the patient, checking the self-administered dose against the label of the container, reassuring the patient he /she is taking the right medication.
• Perform simple diagnostic activities.
• Perform activities of daily living as written in the care plan.
• Observe and record intake and output when ordered.
• Change dry dressings according to written instructions.
• Provide first aide
• Complete clinical notes within 24 hrs of visit
• Be available for assignments as needed
• Other supportive tasks assigned
• Complete 12 hours of training during a 12 month period

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
