CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant/PCA

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant or Personal Care Assistant to join our healthcare team temporarily. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and support to our patients. Duties: - Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing - Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse - Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and equipment - Provide assistance with meals and ensure patients are receiving proper nutrition - Collaborate with the nursing staff to create a safe and comfortable environment for patients - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) - Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases - Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times - Assist with various procedures under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians - Perform basic life support techniques when necessary

Skills: - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) and its proper usage - Ability to lift and move patients safely using appropriate techniques - Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) - Experience in acute care settings, including ICU or critical care units, is preferred - Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus - Basic life support certification is required - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient service
