CNA/GNA needed in Silver Spring, MD

Job Summary

Join our care team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) in Silver Spring, Maryland. You’ll provide attentive, respectful support to residents and patients, helping them stay safe, comfortable, and engaged. Your impact: By delivering consistent personal care and communicating changes promptly, you help patients and families feel supported and help the care team respond to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, and mobility.
• Measure and report vital signs; support catheter care and medication administration as assigned and permitted.
• Use safe lifting and patient transfer methods, including a Hoyer lift when trained and appropriate.
• Follow infection prevention practices, aseptic technique, and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Document care accurately in medical records and electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems; communicate with patients, families, and the care team.

Experience

• Required: Current CNA or GNA credential applicable in Maryland; compassionate caregiving, clear communication, and safe manual handling.
• Preferred: Senior care, geriatrics, nursing home, long-term care, assisted living, post-acute, sub-acute, home care, hospice, memory care, dementia care, or Alzheimer’s care experience.
• Additional relevant experience may include developmental disabilities, pediatrics, hospital or acute care, medical-surgical, intensive care unit (ICU), emergency medicine, urgent care, outpatient, clinic, or medical office settings.
• Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, medical terminology, documentation, anatomy and physiology, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), or basic life support (BLS) is helpful. Experience with phlebotomy, infectious disease care, trauma centers, operating rooms, or diagnostic medical equipment (DME) is also welcome.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
