Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Aide in Fabens El paso to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in hospice care, ensuring their comfort and dignity during this critical time. This role involves working closely with patients and their families, delivering high-quality care while assisting with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with medication administration as directed by nursing staff.
• Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Support patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Engage with patients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns with empathy and respect.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospice care or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic patient care techniques.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as wellsky
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating strong communication skills.
• Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.
• Must be able to pass background checks and meet any other regulatory requirements for the role.
