Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
This position is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) whose responsibility is to provide direct nursing activities for residents receiving therapeutic and diagnostic services in Long Term Care, in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state, and local regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures and professional standards. Participates in activities that ensure the safe and efficient provision of services to adolescent, adult and geriatric resident populations. Refers unusual clinical problems to the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse. The position reports to the Director of Nursing.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of a state approved Nursing Assistant program preferred. * Formal Training: Clinical competence in nursing assistance preferred. * Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Current certified nursing assistant registry in the state of Georgia within 120 days of employment.BLS certification required within 90 days of employment. * Work Experience: Basic knowledge of Nursing Assistant Principles.
