Job Summary

Assists professional nursing personnel by performing tasks involving direct and indirect patient care, treatment and maintenance of the nursing unit. Works with pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Works effectively and cooperatively within the workplace. Location/Department specific tasks and competencies may apply. Essential Functions

Accurately and timely documents in patient records, as per established protocols. Accurately collects and documents patient specimens. Complies with SRH infection control policies and ensures a safe environment for self and others. Admits, discharges, and transfers patients as per established policies and procedures. Correctly places telemonitor on patient; changes batteries, cleans unit upon discharge of patient and returns to Telemonitor Tech. Provides a thorough, concise report at change of shift. Communicates pertinent information to the appropriate person in a timely manner. Obtains O2 set reading and reports to RN.
