$19.80 - $29.70 Atrium Cleveland Progressive Care Units consists of 64 beds (32 per unit) serving cardiac, medical and surgical patients. Our unit is fast-paced and requires strong critical thinking abilities, organization and prioritization, as well as thorough assessment skills. The PCU nurse partners with our cardiologists/ hospitalist team and other disciplines to manage titratable cardiac drips, bipap, post-op, post ICU patients. We see a variety of diagnosis with our top 3 DRG’s being Dysrhythmias, Chest Pain and CHF. All patients wear telemetry monitors which are monitored through our telemetry station 24/7. Our team encourages professional development through participation in shared governance, continuing education and professional certification. The ideal candidate for our team is resourceful, flexible and a team player.

Job Summary

The Nurse Aide - Weekender assists in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Assists in maintaining a clean, safe patient environment and performs job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competencies as appropriate to the needs of the patient population served.

Essential Functions

• Supports patients/residents with activities of daily living.
• Assists patients/residents with personal hygiene.
• Takes vital signs and height and weight measurements.
• Feeds and ambulates patients/residents according to specific procedures.
• Maintains patient/resident's rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient/resident conditions.
