DSP (Direct Support Professional) / Caregiver - Adult Day Training

We are seeking to fill Direct Support Professional positions for our 8hr​ shift​ schedule within our Day training location, providing car​e​ for adults with intellectual & physical disabilities.

Candidate must have excellent written and spoken communication skills. This position requires excellent organizational and computer skills as well as the ability to keep up with a high-demand setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Caregiving: 1 year experience (Preferred)
• Professionally working with people with disabilities: 1 year (Preferred)
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Caring nature
• Helpful
• Team player
• Diligent

All required training DDID regulations, Medication administration, First Aid & CPR is completed in house at Blessed Assurance during orientation.

Must be able to read, understand and implement written and oral instructions Must pass a criminal background check Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing.

• Completing daily progress note
• Complete monthly summaries
• Charting on required internal documents
• Meal preparation
• Vital signs
• Incontinence Care

• Community outings
