Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• AWAKE overnight must be willing and able to stay awake
• Must be compassionate, patient, and understanding
• Must have a desire to work with the senior population
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years old or older
• Must pass all health screening such as a Physical, and TB test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain it within the first 30 days of hire.
• 1 year previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting Strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care and Hospice care is a plus
• Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members

Essential Functions

Resident Care

• Must know How To Clean thoroughly 75% of overnight shift is cleaning common areas of facility and resident Laundry
• Assisting residents with ADL tasks including housekeeping tasks, making beds and or changing bed linens, cleaning residents rooms, cooking & serving meals, assisting with personal laundry, showers, toileting, dressing, undressing, oral care, hair care, transfers and ambulation and any other needs addressed on the residents Care plan.
