Job Description

BetterLiving Home Care is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dependable caregiver to provide respite care services for a 40-year-old female client in the Covina area. The ideal candidate will be caring, respectful, and committed to helping the client maintain comfort, dignity, and independence in her daily routine.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide personal hygiene and grooming assistance.
• Assist with restroom use and toileting needs.
• Support dressing and changing clothes as needed.
• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
• Encourage participation in appropriate recreational activities and hobbies.
• Assist with meal preparation and light meal assistance, as needed.
• Provide supervision and help maintain a safe home environment.
• Assist with daily routines and promote independence.
• Offer emotional support and positive engagement.
• Perform light tidying related to the client's care.
• Follow the client's established care plan and agency guidelines.
• Communicate relevant concerns or updates to the appropriate family member or office staff.
• Respect the client's privacy, preferences, and dignity at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving or personal care experience preferred.
• Patient, compassionate, and reliable.
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care, including restroom assistance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to follow care instructions and maintain professional boundaries.
• Current CPR/First Aid, TB clearance, and background clearance as required by agency policy.
