HHA - Home Care Hospice Aide (Full Time)

Niagara Hospice is looking for a compassionate HHA to join our growing team of Hospice Aides. This individual must be a certified NYS Home Health Aide (HHA) with the ability and willingness to work in patient homes throughout all of Niagara County.

*Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:*

• Provide personal care/assistance
• Employs proper technique in performing lift, transfers, and transports in a safe manner
• Assists with patient positioning and repositioning (turn and positioning program)
• Obtain and record patient’s temperature, pulse,etc. as directed by the charge nurse and/or care plan.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and data when reporting to the nurse.
• Application of support devices, adaptive equipment, & oxygen.
• Demonstrates sensitivity to patients to ensure their comfort, privacy and well-being.
• Recognizes the patient’s family members and friends as an integral part of the Hospice experience and interacts with the same accordingly.

*Schedule:*

• 5 days per week
• 8 am – 4 pm OR 9 am – 5 pm
• Every other weekend rotation
• Guaranteed 37.5 hours per week.

*Are you eligible? Required Qualifications:*

• Current NYS HHA Certification
• VERIFIABLE work experience in the Home Care Registry as an HHA within the last 2 years
• Use of personal vehicle for travel throughout Niagara County
• High school education or equivalent
