Job Summary

As a Home Health Aide & Caregiver, you’ll provide attentive, respectful care in clients’ homes and community settings. You’ll support daily routines, observe changes in well-being, and communicate clearly with clients and care teams. Your impact: Consistent, compassionate care helps clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while giving families greater confidence in their loved one’s daily support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, and safe patient transfers; use a Hoyer lift when trained and appropriate.
• Observe and report changes in condition, take vital signs as assigned, and document care in electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Support medication administration within authorized duties, catheter care when qualified, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
• Provide companionship and appropriate support for senior care, geriatric patients, memory care, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, hospice, and end-of-life care.
• Protect patient confidentiality under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and follow home healthcare regulations and care plans.

Requirements

• Patient care or home health care assistance experience; home care, home health agency, home and community care, assisted living, nursing home, or long-term care experience is valuable.
• Caregiving experience with older adults or individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is preferred; live-in employment experience is also helpful.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records, and medical documentation; strong patient observation and client communication skills.
• Current first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic life support (BLS) skills are preferred.
• Able to perform required physical tasks, including patient transfers and heavy lifting, in accordance with safe practices.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
