Job Overview

As a Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you’ll provide respectful, dependable care in clients’ homes and community settings. You’ll support daily routines, observe changes in condition, and communicate clearly with clients and care teams. Your impact: attentive personal care and timely observations help clients maintain comfort, dignity, and safety while supporting families and care providers.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal care.
• Observe clients, take vital signs as assigned, and document care in electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Support meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, and laundry while following each client’s care plan.
• Assist with safe patient transfers, including use of a Hoyer lift when trained and directed; provide catheter care or medication assistance only as authorized.
• Communicate with clients and care teams, protect confidential information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and follow applicable home health regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving, home health, home care, home and community care, or a home health agency is helpful; assisted living, nursing home, long-term care, senior care, live-in, and geriatric experience are also relevant.
• Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory, hospice, end-of-life, or developmental disability care is valued, as is experience supporting people with disabilities.
• Knowledge of patient care, medical terminology, medical records, and documentation is preferred. First aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and basic life support (BLS) skills are beneficial.
• Able to perform assigned physical tasks, including heavy lifting when required, and maintain patient confidentiality.

Pay: $23.16 - $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
