Job Summary

As a Home Health Aide near Buena, NJ, you’ll provide attentive, respectful care to clients in their homes and communities. You’ll support daily routines, promote comfort and independence, and communicate changes in a client’s condition to the appropriate care team. Your impact: Careful observation and dependable personal assistance help clients and families feel safer and better supported at home.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, transfers, and mobility; use a Hoyer lift when appropriate and follow safe patient transfer methods.
• Observe clients, take vital signs as assigned, and document care and changes in electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Support medication administration only as permitted by your role and applicable requirements; provide catheter care when assigned and trained.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and do laundry while respecting each client’s preferences and home.
• Provide compassionate support for older adults and clients receiving dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory, hospice, or end-of-life care.

Requirements

• Patient care, caregiving, home health care assistance, and client communication skills; familiarity with medical terminology, medical records, and documentation.
• Knowledge of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), patient confidentiality, and home health care regulations.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or basic life support (BLS) knowledge; follow employer and applicable requirements.
• Experience in home care, home health agencies, assisted living, nursing homes, long-term care, senior care, geriatrics, or home and community care is relevant.
• Experience with developmental disabilities or other disabilities, live-in employment, heavy lifting, and geriatric patients is helpful.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
