We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential companion and personal care support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those with varying needs. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting Brewster area seniors with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. You will work in close collaboration with our in-house RN care managers.

Duties

• Engage clients in activities of daily living (ADLs), social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
• Assist with meal preparation, nutritional support tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Participate in Summit's mandatory caregiver on-boarding training.

Requirements

• Punctual, responsible and careing
• Energetic, positive, and kind attitude is essential
• Previous home care including companion and personal care is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical documentation practices is preferred.
• Open to all shifts, including overnight shift and live-in care
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. and assist clients safely while adhering to proper techniques.
• English speaking. Good communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and families.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence in the home
