Home Health Aide

Job Overview

As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about helping others, particularly seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help with mobility and transfers, including lifting clients safely when necessary.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
• Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client conditions to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.

Skills

• Experience in senior care or home health settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or other disabilities is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to lift and assist clients safely while adhering to proper techniques.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence.
