Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for following patient care instructions prepared by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professionals who are responsible for the supervision of the CNA. This includes assisting the patient in bathing, dressing, and transferring in a way that promotes the patient’s comfort, quality of life, and specific end of life requests. The CNA is responsible for observing patients, reporting, and documenting these observations and care performed.
