In Home Caregiver

Job Summary

As an In Home Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, dependable support that helps clients live safely and comfortably at home and in the community. You’ll assist with personal care, daily routines, meals, and mobility while following care plans and honoring each client’s preferences and rights. This paid role is suited to someone who communicates with care, observes changes, and works confidently with clients and families.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, and safe transfers; use a Hoyer lift when trained and directed.
• Prepare meals, support cooking and light cleaning, and provide personal transportation assistance as assigned.
• Monitor clients, observe and report changes, record vital signs when required, and follow care plans for medication administration within authorized duties.
• Provide patient care and direct support, including senior, geriatric, dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory, hospice, and disability support.
• Protect privacy under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), uphold residents’ rights, and use safe manual handling practices.

Experience

• Caregiving, home care, home health, or home and community care experience is valuable; group home, assisted living, nursing home, or long-term care experience is also welcome.
• Experience supporting people with autism, developmental, intellectual, neurodevelopmental, or other disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient observation, monitoring, transfer methods, and patient personal care assistance is helpful.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills are preferred; relevant nursing experience is welcome.
• Able to perform assigned physical tasks, including lifting, while following safe handling practices.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
