Overview

Our Caregivers are at the heart of everything we do, delivering compassionate care to our clients through our Purpose Driven Care (PDC) and Nurse Guided Care philosophies. Each client’s needs are unique, and caregivers receive a detailed care plan before every assignment to ensure services are provided with compassion, respect, and a focus on independence. If a task ever feels physically challenging, caregivers must notify the agency right away to ensure safety for both client and caregiver.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Minimum 6 months of verifiable caregiving experience with seniors or individuals with disabilities.
  • Must possess effective communication and comprehension skills in English to ensure accurate documentation and safe care delivery.
  • Must successfully complete all background screening and reference checks as required by state and agency policy.
  • Must be physically able to perform required tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs using safe ergonomic technique.
  • Mobility: Standing, walking, reaching, bending, and using hands and fingers as needed for client care.
  • Sensory: Able to see, hear, and speak clearly to ensure safety and effective communication.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to travel 15–50 miles each way, depending on client location. Clients can be located in Brighton, Commerce City, Thornton. Home Matters Caregiving office is located in Brighton, CO
  • Must be willing to attend mandatory trainings and meetings in person at our office in Brighton, CO

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful, person-centered support with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Assist with safe mobility and transfers, and offer basic nail care limited to cleaning and filing. Report any changes in condition to the supervisor or RN immediately.
