Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive personal care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs, observe health status changes, and communicate findings to healthcare professionals to support effective care plans.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing to promote hygiene and comfort.
  • Support clients with cognitive challenges such as dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing memory care strategies and engaging in meaningful activities.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers using proper manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both clients and caregivers.
  • Document care activities accurately in compliance with home health standards, including patient observations, medication logs, and incident reports.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders.
