In Home Caregiver

Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide personalized care and support to clients in their own homes. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in healthcare settings such as Level II trauma centers, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or post-acute care. The caregiver will assist clients with daily activities, ensure safety, and promote well-being while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and empathy.

Duties

• Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide medication reminders and assistance as prescribed by healthcare professionals
• Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to family members or healthcare providers
• Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation
• Coordinate with healthcare teams for clients requiring specialized care such as Geriatrics, PICU, or Post-acute care
• Administer basic medical procedures within scope of training, including emergency response if necessary
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures

Skills

• Experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable
• Background in Geriatrics, Medical-surgical, or outpatient clinic settings preferred
• Knowledge of post-acute and sub-acute care practices
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and compassion
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and healthcare teams
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Certification or experience in teaching hospital environments is a plus
• Ability to adapt to diverse patient needs across inpatient, outpatient, and home care settings
