In-Home Caregiver: PRN / As-Needed

Amada Senior Care Edinburg is building a bench of caregivers for in-home senior care across the Rio Grande Valley. This is a PRN / as-needed role, not a guaranteed full-time schedule. Hours are not guaranteed and vary week to week (typically 8 to 30 when you are matched, sometimes more, sometimes none). You join our roster, and we offer you shifts as client openings come up. You can accept or decline each shift.

The timeline, up front: when you join, we may not have a client matched to you yet. It usually takes about two to four weeks to get you onto a steady, regular client. While you wait, you pick up cover and fill shifts as they come, and we check in with you every week so you always know where things stand.

This is a great fit if you want flexible, on-call shifts to supplement other income or work around your life. It is not the right fit if you need 40 guaranteed hours starting day one.

Pay: $12.00/hour to start.

What we look for

Real caregiving experience (in-home, facility, or family care).

Reliable, kind, on time.

Comfortable communicating in English with our clients and office.

A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance. Many of our clients need transportation to appointments and errands, so a clean driving record is a real plus and gets you matched faster. Our background check includes a driving-record check.

How shifts work: we offer shifts by text or call, usually with same-day to a couple-days' notice. You say yes or no to each one.
