In Home Caregiver

Overview

As an In Home Caregiver, you’ll provide attentive, respectful support that helps clients live safely and comfortably at home. You’ll assist with daily routines, follow care plans, and communicate changes in a client’s condition. Your impact: Consistent, compassionate care helps clients and families feel supported while promoting dignity and independence.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, and safe transfers; use a Hoyer lift when trained and directed.
• Observe and monitor clients, including vital signs when assigned, and promptly report changes or concerns.
• Support medication administration only as authorized and in accordance with care plans and applicable requirements.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and provide personal transportation assistance as assigned.
• Respect clients’ rights and privacy, follow HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) requirements, and use safe manual handling practices.

Skills

• Required: Compassionate caregiving, patient care, client communication, and the ability to follow care plans and safety procedures.
• Relevant experience may include home care, home health, home and community care, assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, long-term care, hospice, geriatrics, senior care, or memory care.
• Experience supporting people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other disabilities is valuable.
• Familiarity with patient observation, monitoring, personal care assistance, patient transfer methods, heavy lifting, and resident rights is beneficial.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) knowledge is preferred; nursing experience and medication administration experience are also helpful.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
