$500 Sign-On Bonus

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday | 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Are you the kind of person who enjoys making someone smile? Do you believe that sometimes the best care is simply spending quality time with someone?

We're looking for a caring, dependable companion caregiver for a gentleman in his 70s who lives in a quiet, gated community in Louisburg.

He is living with aphasia and dementia and is looking for someone who is calm, patient, and encouraging. He enjoys sports and would love someone who will watch a game with him, chat at his pace, and simply enjoy the day together.

He will also be starting speech therapy. One of the most important parts of this job is helping him practice his speech therapy exercises between appointments. You don't need any special training. We just want someone who will encourage him, celebrate his progress, and help keep him motivated.

Before retirement, photography was one of his favorite hobbies. If you enjoy photography too, that's a great bonus and could be a fun way to connect. If not, that's perfectly okay.

He lives in the downstairs apartment of a two-family home. His daughter lives upstairs and is very involved in his care. You'll also be sharing the home with his sweet 15-year-old Pomeranian.

What You'll Do

• Provide companionship and conversation
• Encourage speech therapy homework
• Watch sports, play simple games, or enjoy hobbies together
• Prepare light meals
• Help with light housekeeping
• Give medication reminders, if assigned
• Help create a safe, comfortable, and positive day
