POSITION PURPOSE / SUMMARY

Elkhart Council on Aging is hiring reliable, compassionate In‑Home Caregivers to provide personalized care in clients’ homes. This role offers exceptional scheduling flexibility — pick shifts that match your availability, from occasional visits to regular full‑time hours.

PREREQUISITES

- Must be 21 years of age -Must be able to pass drug screen. - Must pass criminal background check. - Must be CPR certified, training provided. - Must possess a smart phone and be able to use one.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and families.
• Light housekeeping and Grocery shopping/Errands.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment (light housekeeping, laundry).
• Protect client privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
• Follow individualized care plans and document services accurately.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous caregiving experience preferred (in‑home, assisted living, or group home).
• Strong communication skills, empathy, reliability, and ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and light housekeeping.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
