We're seeking a compassionate, patient, and energetic Life Enrichment Assistant who has experience working with individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. This role is dedicated to creating purposeful, person-centered experiences that promote comfort, engagement, dignity, and joy for our Memory Care residents.

What You'll Do

Working alongside the Life Enrichment Director, you'll develop and lead engaging daily programs specifically designed to meet the unique cognitive, emotional, physical, and social needs of residents living with memory loss.

Responsibilities include

  • Lead and assist with person-centered activities designed specifically for residents living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
  • Utilize dementia-specific programming techniques that promote engagement, reduce anxiety, and encourage positive interactions.
  • Build meaningful one-on-one relationships with residents through individualized visits and purposeful engagement.
  • Adapt activities to accommodate each resident's cognitive and physical abilities while celebrating their remaining strengths.
  • Provide sensory stimulation, music, reminiscence, life skills, exercise, and therapeutic activities that support overall well-being.
  • Encourage participation using redirection, validation, encouragement, and other dementia care best practices.
  • Assist residents to and from activities while maintaining a calm, reassuring, and supportive approach.
