Live-in Caregiver

Overview

We are currently looking for a caregiver that would be able to help us out with an occasional 3-day shift and (every 10 weeks) a 2-3 week duration, at a per diem rate. (I am the primary caregiver for my Dad and I am hoping to take a break.)

Duties

• Prompting my Dad in and out of bed, helping him with shaving, prompting him to brush his teeth and help him take a shower.
• Throughout the day, assisting my Dad to scheduled bathroom visits.
• Preparing my Dad's meals, or eating out depending on your preference.
• Assisting my Dad with eating meals.
• Keeping the Bathroom and Kitchen clean. Including the bathroom floor of any urine.
• Currently my Dad is not needing assistance after going to bed, However, he has in the past needing occasional assistance during the night going to the bathroom.

Skills

• Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home & community care environments.
• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, and memory care best practices.
• Ability to provide personal care with compassion and professionalism.
• Prior experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in group home settings is a plus.

This need is intermittent and flexible. We are hoping to find someone who could cover 2-3 weeks in November, after a background check is completed.

Pay: $150.00 per day
