Live-In CNA/Home Helper for Warm, Active Family in Raleigh, NC

We’re seeking a compassionate, strong, and organized live-in CNA or caregiver to join our family as a home helper and companion for our vibrant, independent mother in her spacious Northwest Raleigh home. As a respected community leader with a love for gardening, her two dogs, and hosting friends and family, she needs a reliable, positive person to support her daily life with light housework, organization, and companionship. Familiarity with South Asian culture is a must, as is a commitment to privacy and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Home Help: Perform light housekeeping (laundry, tidying, organizing closets/paperwork), prepare and clean up meals for one (simple cooking/prep), water outdoor garden, and move items like groceries, packages, or light furniture (up to 50 lbs, including laundry up/down stairs).
• Dog Care: Feed and walk two friendly 35-lb Berniedoodle siblings (3 years old) during early morning routines.
• Companionship & Support: Be present to ensure safety (prevent falls or injuries), assist with hosting guests (friends, children, grandchildren), drive to appointments/errands, and join her for gardening or light activities.
• Guest Management: Greet and manage visitors/service people at the security gate, help prepare for and clean up after house guests.
• Full-time presence (6.5 days/week) with flexible downtime, aligning with her schedule. Focus on coverage and support to ensure she’s never alone for long.

Qualifications

• Preferred: CNA certification (or equivalent caregiving experience).
• Physical Ability: Under 40, able to lift/move 50 lbs comfortably.
• Cultural Fit: Familiarity with South Asian families and culture; polite, spiritual, positive attitude.
