As a Med Tech/CNA/PCA, you’ll provide attentive, respectful care to 1 to 3 elderly residents. You’ll support daily personal care, assist with medications within your authorized scope, and document care accurately while protecting each resident’s privacy. Your work may include supporting people with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or hospice needs.

Duties

• Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, meal prep & serve no more than 3 residents , as assigned; use safe manual handling practices for resident transfers and heavy lifting.
• Measure and report vital signs (PRN), observe changes in condition, and communicate promptly with residents, families, Supervisor and the care team.
• Administer medications (if NC MED TECH CERTIFIED), following care plans, and applicable state healthcare regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and medical records in electronic health record and follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy requirements.

Qualifications

• Elderly caregiving, residential personal care assistance, good communication.
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) is required.
• Experience in assisted living, senior living, nursing homes, hospitals, home care, or home and community care is helpful.
• Experience with senior care, memory care, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice care, or individuals is a valued asset although all residents may not have Dementia.
• Medication experience with medication administration, confidentiality, and medical records are preferred.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

License/Certification

• CPR (in-person class!- cannot accept computer based (Required)
• RECENT PPD/TB or Chest X-ray? (Required)
• Med Tech Certification? (Preferred)
