Medication Aide (CNA required) - Full-Time - Night - Eventide Prairie Commons

Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island is currently hiring for a Full-Time Medication Aide (MA40). The scheduled hours for this position is 6p-6a (12 Hours). This position also includes an every third weekend and holiday rotation.

The Medication Aide requires an active, good-standing MA40 and CNA license required.

Ideal Candidate

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• Active CNA license in the state of NE required
• Active MA40 license in the state of NE required

Essential Job Duties

* + Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence. + Assists with Senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees. + Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation. + Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/ overlapping Senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs, call lights, when necessary. + Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of TEAMember preference. + Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client. + Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by insuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times. + Additional essential functions while utilizing a MA40: - Prepares and administers medications and treatments, under the direction of the RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures.
