Memory Care Resident Assistant FULL TIME

Duties and responsibilities

* Handling and serving residents in their dining experience in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort.

* Adhering to instructions and care plans.

* Performing duties in accordance with established methods and techniques and in conformance with recognized

standards.

* Make beds

* Measure and record side rails as required for the state of Michigan 7 zones of entrapment.

* Pass fresh water.

Other duties as directed that does not require certification or specialized training beyond their scope.

* Recognize and report resident changes in condition as it relates to the dining experience.

Job Specifications

* Pass and collect trays, feed residents, pass nourishments.

* Report falls or occurrences outside of normal routine resident routine to supervisor.

* Report defective equipment to supervisor and maintenance.

* Transport wheelchair residents to activities or therapies, per care plan.

* Attend mandatory meetings and at least twelve (12) in-service annually; read monthly newsletter.

* Documents according to guidelines.

* Follow rules as outlined in Resident’s Rights and Corporate Compliance.

* Follow Infection Control policies and procedures.

* Assist with CPR emergencies.

* Other support duties as directed by the Administrator, Director of Nursing or supervisor.

* Follow established policy and procedures of the ICMCF, including following dress code, etc.

Education and Training

Successful completion of an eight-hour State-approved Dining Assistant curriculum. No flags against applicant’s name upon background check. Must be a minimum of 16 years old.
